ANPU THE GUIDE OF THE DEAD

In the Egyptian Mystery System, the initiate was called the dead. Sometimes he was called the Ausar, which basically meant the same thing since Ausar was considered the God of the Dead and of the Tuat (Underworld). In the New Testament Ausar appears as Lazarus who was supposedly dead. But Jesus (Heru) says hes not dead dead, hes asleep. And just as Heru resuscitates Ausar in the Kamitic tradition, Jesus wakes up Lazarus in the Christian tradition. Lazarus, come forth! In other writings Ive explained why the high initiates were proud to be called the dead. There are many levels of dying, the most dangerous of which is flat-lining. (I have not done this and I dont recommend it for anyone.) Anpu represents logic. Initiates receive information (revelation) from the higher dimensions (seven heavens). But high wisdom is often conveyed symbolically. So the initiate must be guided by logic and reason in sifting out the truth of her intuitive perceptions. For example: an ancient motif of Kings (initiates) is that they wrestled with a lion and stepped on a snake. Gilgamesh fought a lion.

Benaiah slew a lion in the midst of a pit (II Samuel 23:20) and so did Samson (Judges 14:6). An initiate would be foolish to go out and actually wrestle or fight a lion. Logic (Anpu) should guide him. Nor should he go up against a poisonous snake. The lion symbolizes libido and the snake represents the kundalini forcer thats activated by the heart of sexual arousal. The initiate develops the ability to conquer these wild beasts within himself. An initiate is not limited to logical processes but logic must guide her and all spiritual conclusions should be able to stand up to the test of logic.
