The lack of organization in the campus designated reading resource library posed a problem for teachers in choosing the proper material to use for instruction. As such, many teachers are not taking advantage of useful supplemental materials which could greatly improve reading mastery.

Teachers expressed the need more reading resources in order to meet the rigorous standards of curriculum and thereby of their student populations. Our campus focuses a great deal of reading instruction on small group learning and teacher to individual student lessons. In order to effectively achieve such a feat, it is necessary for teachers to have a well-organized readily accessible area from which to select the proper reading material.

High morale and positive perceptions of the campus are extremely important in creating and maintaining an effective culture. To ensure such is taking place, the school administrator must find and utilize tools to see what the staff thinks of the school in general as well as various components.

Research has shown that administrators armed with substantial understanding of their staffs thoughts are mostly likely to respond appropriately and garner approaches towards active solutions in order to continually achieve success. Teachers have voiced the need to communicate their opinions to administrators in a nonthreatening forum in the hopes of creating a campus atmosphere consistent with the agreed upon vision.

Create an online survey designated to gaining the staffs perspective on various areas of the campus. The survey will include the response options of strongly agree, agree, disagree, strongly disagree, and not applicable. Concerns about building wide aspects should always be a top priority of school administrators. Without a clear indication of what critical stakeholders deem as a strength, weakness, noted opportunity, or a potential threat, it is near impossible to address and respond to these elements precisely.

Various stakeholders of the school community tend to verbally express their concern about things on campus. Problems such as poor disciplinary handling and the amount of responsibility placed on teachers seem to be imminent concerns. As well, they are pleased with tutorial opportunities which are provided during the day. Hearing the conversations identified the need to find out exactly which programs and systems the staff would expound on in order to continually shape an effective campus vision.

Evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (S.W.O.T.) associated with the campus by performing an analysis. Collect information collected from each by grade level.
