6 Fixed Issues
This section provides information about past issues that have been fixed in this release.

Issue Name
FSA-754

Issue Description
Statistics for restore jobs have been added to the restore job logs. The statistics provide an overview how many documents have been restored by the job.

FSA-767

Let end user decide which version of the file should be retrieved. The new shortcut command versions opens the overview page with all versions of a document.

FSA-862

Customer has legal requirement to archive 0 Byte mails via FSA. Archiving of empty files is now supported in combination with Archive Server

FSA-872 FSA-995 FSA-1055

Support for OTDS has been added. The restore jobs can now also restore empty folders. The format of exported archive job logs has been modified to allow easy import of the exported data in programs like Excel.

7 Known Issues
The following known issues exist in this release.

Issue Name
FSA-1216

Issue Description
Documents in the check permission report pipeline end in the error queue of the fsa_matchusers DocTool, if the ACL of the shortcut file contains a user or group that cannot be matched to a Content Server name. The report job ends with status OK in this case and the report does not list the documents from the error queue. The document pipeline error queues should be checked before viewing the report result.

FSA-1211

Extracting office properties is only supported with Office 97 (or later) file formats.

OpenText File System Archiving 10.2.0 Release Notes 9

Issue Name
FSA-847

Issue Description
Case sensitive Content Servers: If the content server is case sensitive it is possible that documents and folders are created multiple times. This happens if the case of the folder / documents changes between two archive job runs, e.g., a folder is renamed from Folder to FOLDER.

FSA-988

Files with the same extension as the shortcuts: Files with the same extension as the shortcuts are not archived, because FSA uses the shortcut extension to recognize already archived files.

FSA-761

Windows Indexing Service can lock files: The Windows indexing service may lock files currently processed by FSA. This is a problem if the indexing service locks files in the document pipeline directory and FSA tries to delete those files. The document pipeline directory should therefore be excluded from the Windows Indexing service.

FSA-937

White Space Stripping: Content server automatically strips leading and trailing white-space from node names. If you archive two files one called "test.txt" and one called " test.txt" (with a leading space) you get one Content Server Node with two versions. When you run a keep originals archive job again on these files, the file " test.txt" (with the blank) will be submitted again to the document pipeline, because of the automatic white-space stripping FSA cannot decide whether is file is already archived or not.

FSA-994

Files with modification times in the future: For files with modification times in the future the check whether they are already archived always yields a negative result because the file system object will always be newer than the content server objects. Therefore, such files will be archived whenever an archive job is executed on those files regardless whether they are already archived or not.

FSA-1005

Log history of Scheduled Archive Jobs: The log history of scheduled archive jobs shows extra entries whenever the archive job is created / updated. This extra entry is characterized by identical start / stop times, status ok and all counters showing zero. The job is not actually executed at these times.

FSA-731

Accessing Archive job Log Pages with Internet Explorer:

OpenText File System Archiving 10.2.0 Release Notes 10

Issue Name

Issue Description
The Archive Job log pages offer text boxes to access individual pages of the log or individual runs of the Archive Job directly by entering the page number. With Internet Explorer the selected page cannot be accessed by pushing the Enter key. Instead the focus must be taken away from the text box by pushing the Tab key or by clicking somewhere outside the text box.

FSA-698

Extracting Document Properties: The DocTool fsa_extractofficeproperties can only handle file names with a maximum length of 260 characters.

FSA-212

Extended Search: To search for File System Attributes and Access Control List attributes in the FSA Document category, the attributes must be customized as Show in Search in the category FSA Document.

FSA-153

Pathname filter with MSSQL databases: The path name filter in the View Log page does not work if the path name contains non Latin characters and the database is a MSSQL server.

FSA-108

Permissions in Content Server: Well-known groups like Everyone or CREATOR_OWNER have to be created in the Content Server manually.

FSA-105

Case sensitivity of folder / file names: Generally all folder and file names are treated in a case sensitive way. However, when folder or filenames contain non US-ASCII characters (e.g., , , ) the non ASCII part of the file or folder name is case sensitive.

FSA-104

Long folder of file names in the job monitor (View Log): When monitoring archive jobs via the view log feature, file and folder names which are longer than 250 characters are cut to 250 characters and an ellipsis () is appended to the name.

FSA-97

Restoring shortcut files: When restoring short-cut files on the file servers only the read-only and archive file

OpenText File System Archiving 10.2.0 Release Notes 11

Issue Name

Issue Description
system attributes can be restored.

FSA-65

Multiple values for folder or file names: In all dialogs where a folder or a file name can be entered it is possible to enter multiple values by using the semicolon (;) as a separator. If one of the entered file names or folder names contains a semicolon itself it must be replaced by a wildcard (? or *).

FSA-5

Access to network shares: Network shares must be accessed via the UNC path name (e.g., \\server\share\folder). Mapped network shares cannot be accessed via their drive letter.
