INTRODUCTION :Daewoo is the first and the biggest foreign investment Company with an advanced and organized transport system in Pakistan. It is the only transport company to have nationwide network with various international trade links. Being a transport service provider the company owns a large fleet of buses, Technically Advanced Workshops to maintain the fleet for the safety of the passengers, State of the Art Terminals, Training Institutes for Drivers and Mechanical Staff.

surrounded by green hills. It is also a popular summer resort 1255 meters (4120 feet) above sea-level. It lies on the newly constructed Karakoram Highway. It is a popular health resort c.4000 ft (1220 m) above sea level in the Himalaya region. 2. Bahawalpur:- Bahawalpur is 899 km from Karachi. The city is also known as Baghdad-ul-Jadid. The founder of the state of Bahawalpur was Nawab Bahawal Khan Abbasi. It is an important marketing centre for the surrounding areas and is located on the cross roads between Peshawar Lahore Quetta and Karachi. There are three palaces the main one Noor Mehal. Bahawalpur is also known for its distinctly embroiderd slippers and shoes and the filigree pottery which is made here. It has a marble mosque in the Fawara Chowk and a few British buildings like the Science College. Dera Ismail khan:- Dera Ismail Khan takes its name from Ismail
Khan Baluch chief who settled here towards the end of the 15th century and whose descendants ruled for 300 years. Dera means a place people gather for activities. The present town stands 4 miles back from the permanent channel of the river. Dera Ismail Khan District is an administrative district of Pakistans North-West Frontier Province. Faisalabad:- Faisalbad formerly known as Lyallpur is bounded on the


North and West by Hafizabad Jhang and Toba Tek Singh districts respectively. In the East it touches Sheikhupura district and in the South it is bounded by the river Ravi across which lies Okara district. It is an important transportation and commercial center especially for grains cloth and ghee (clarified butter). Hyderabad:- Hyderabad (pop. 1151274) is a city in the Sind province


of Pakistan. It lies on the banks of the Indus River. Hyderabad is a rail and road junction and an important trade center. The railroad runs north to Peshawar and south to Karachi. The University of Sind lies on the west bank of the Indus. There are also several government colleges and the Liaqat Medical College. Industries include cotton ginning rice and oilseed milling tanning and the manufacture of agricultural machinery and cement. The city is famous for its hand embroideries and leatherwork. Sarfaraz Khan built the city in 1782 as a fort.

karachi:- Pakistan commercial centre and largest city is a sprawling

Multan:- Multan is located in the southern part of the country. Multan


a big and historical city is famous for many shrines and holy places of great Ulemas sufis and saints. Peshawar :- Peshawar is the capital of the North-West Frontier


Province Pakistan. A road and rail center near the famed Khyber Pass Peshawar is an important military and communications center and the major depot for trade with Afghanistan. Peshawar is one of the most colorful Pakistani cities. It?s on the Afghan border; give it a real border

Rawalpindi:- 275 km (171 miles) to the north-west of Lahore is


Rawalpindi. It occupies the site of an old village inhabited by the Rawals a tribe of Yogis. It is fast developing into a large modern city. It has many play grounds a pleasant club an Army Museum a number of good hotels and restaurants and a huge Ayub Park Rawalpindi is the last halting post leading to the numerous holiday spots and hill resorts of the north such as Murree Nathiagali Ayubia Abbottabad Swat Kaghan Gilgit Hunza Skardu and Chitral.Daewoo started its Bus Service for Rawalpindi on 26th April 1998. Sargodha :- Sargodha known for Pakistan Air Force base is situated


on the lower Jhelum Canal. It is a center for trade in cotton and other agricultural commodities. Sargodha has manufactures in hosiery textiles chemicals and soap. Sialkot :- Sialkot is said to have been founded by Raja Sala and


refounded by Raja Salivahan in the time of Vikramaditya. The city the district headquarters lies just north of the Aik Nala (Aik Stream) and south of the Jammu Hills. CARGO :-

Daewoo Express Cargo Service has been facilitating our valued customers since the inception of Daewoo Express in Pakistan. Our Cargo Setups, adjacent to all terminals, are open 24/7 providing Safe & Speedy dispatch and delivery of cargo consignments to our clients. In addition to the main bus terminals we have several Cargo collection points (for both booking and delivery) strategically located all across the country. Traditionally, Daewoo utilized the buses for the transport of cargo, which is still being done, but with an increase in demand of our cargo service we have inducted a fleet of trucks to haul cargo across our nationwide network without compromising on time. The transit time of our trucks is comparable to Daewoo Express Buses. In short, the induction of the fleet of trucks has increased our capacity and helped us in being punctual in delivering the cargo. Daewoo Express Cargo Service is committed to provide quality services to our valued customers. Our enhanced capacity and capabilities allow us to cater to the needs of our corporate clientele as well. We offer customer specific rates and payment terms to corporate clients.

TERMS AND CONDITION FOR CARGO SERVICE :-

1. The Consignor is required to clearly declare the goods being handed over to the company for cargo and get it indicated in the cargo booking slip.

2. The Consignor is liable to provide complete information about the consignees name (cargo should be booked in the name of an adult person holding ID Card / Driving License / Passport or Company) and contact number. Company shall not be responsible for mishandling of the cargo due to wrong or inadequate information provided by the Consignor.

3. The consignor is requested to read the booking slip after booking of his/her consignments carefully for details.

4. The consignor is requested to inform the consignee about the consignment # and it's receiving time after the booking of the consignment.

5. The Consignor should also provide the packing list of the cargo at the time of booking the consignment.

6. The goods should be packed properly. Company shall not be responsible for any damage caused due to inadequate packing.

7. The articles / goods / envelope, parcels may be opened in the presence of the Consignor as a precautionary measure.

8. Any tax, if payable will be paid by the consignor separately as per rate fixed by the Government.

9. Cargo Service is not available for cash, jewelry, chemicals, liquor, liquid, paste, inflammables, explosives, gas cylinders (even empty).

10. Company shall not be responsible for any damage / loss to any of the goods (as mentioned at Sr. #9 above) if somebody booked those goods without declaring it.

11. Cargo tariff will be settled on the spot regarding bulky consignments having lesser weight.

12. The company shall not be responsible for the goods not received by the consignee within three full days.

13. The company shall not be liable for the goods not delivered in time due to any problem during journey.

The goods shall be transported from companys setup to setup only.

15. The company is not liable for leakage, shortage, breakage and spoilage by sun, rain water and weather.

16. The company will send the goods at the earliest possible opportunity in one lot or in part according to its convenience.

17. The company does not take any responsibility for loss or damage in transit due to accident en route or floods etc.

18. The company shall not be responsible for any damage to any perishable item due to inevitable delay.

19. The Consignor must furnish such information and documents to the company as are necessary to meet the requirement of custom or police before the cargo can be delivered to the consignee. The Consignor is liable to the company for any damage occurring due to the absence, insufficiency or irregularity of any such information or documents.

20. The Consignor is responsible for the correctness of the particulars and statements relating to the Cargo, in the consignment note.

21. Passports, I.D. Cards, Air-Tickets etc. are booked at the Consignors risk and company will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.

22. The company is not liable for any damage directly or indirectly arising out of compliance with laws, government regulations / order or requirements or for any reason beyond companys control.

23. Extra tariff will be charged for consignments booked for / from shuttle service point / cargo collection points.

24. The consignee is required to produce valid identification, e.g. National Identity Cards, Driving License or Passport for receiving the goods. Authority letter shall be provided by the recipient if the consignment is booked in the name of a company etc. Visiting card is not acceptable in lieu of authority letter / personal identification. No consignment shall be handed over without sufficient identification.

25. In case the consignee receives the consignment after 3-days of its arrival, demurrage @ 10% of cargo charges of that consignment per day of delay shall be charged by the Terminal Manager / Cargo In-charge.

If the cargo consignment (or a part thereof) is lost due to negligence / mistake of the company, Consignor shall be compensated in terms of weight (Rs. 250/- per Kg for electronics, Rs. 20 per Kg for eatables (Fruit / Vegetables etc) while Rs. 100/- per Kg for all other types of cargo) and not in terms of value of the lost portion of the consignment. There will be no compensation for the value of mail or documents etc. and these will be treated as goods as per their weight.

CITY BUS SERVICES :Pakistan when State of the Buses with advanced and more powerful engines with TECHO Monitoring System were introduced in 1999. Moreover provision of A/C, call bell and announcement system was also the part of this modernistic change in Urban Transport Culture. Since 1999, Daewoo City Bus Division has been serving the valorous people of Lahore. Currently 4 routes are being operated within the city covering all the localities while one Sub-Urban Routes is being operated for Sheikhupura. Similar to urban transport service, same Cultural Revolution was successfully launched for two nearer cities of Lahore i.e. Sheikhupura (Inaugurated on June 7th 2005) as there was no bus service available earlier having such exclusive features. A: Advance reservation starts 48 hours before the departure till half an hour before. Q: For how much time period this reservation will stay active? A: In case of reservation of less than 4 seats, the reservation remains active till fifteen minutes before the departure. All reservations are cancelled after this time (i.e. fifteen minutes before the departure). In case of more seats, a grace period is specified for the purchase of tickets, after which the reservation is cancelled. Q: How Can I make an advance reservation? A: Advance reservation can be made by two ways 1. Through making a phone call at information and booking center of that particular terminal 2. Through reservation window at that terminal. Q: On which telephone number I should call to reserve seat or get information? A: At all of our main terminals, U.A.N. Number i.e. 111-007-008 is being operated. You can call to this number from your local city or can use the city code in prefix where you want to call. However at sub-terminals, contact numbers are different for each city and thus get numbers through this website in Midway Stopovers Section in Destinations link. Q: After reservation, when I can purchase the ticket? A: Ticket can be purchased at any time after reservation till fifteen minutes before the departure. All reservations are cancelled and seat can be issued to other passengers after this time (i.e. fifteen minutes before the departure). Q: From where I can purchase the ticket? A: Ticket can be purchased from the advance ticketing counter till half an hour before the departure. Current ticketing starts at half an hour before the departure, tickets can be purchased from the specific ticketing counters then Q: Can I send some goods to other cities using this bus service? A: Daewoo has a separate cargo division. For delivery of goods, cargo service is available 24 x 7 at each terminal. Moreover Cargo Pick up Points are also available in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan and Faisalabad. Q: What is CBS ? A: CBS stands for City Bus Serivce. It is a sub-company of EBS (Express Bus Service). CBS provides local transport services for the citizens of Lahore.
