E Ti sao chng ta cn tu tp thin nh?


Chng ta c sinh ra trong thn ngi him qu vi y thun duyn, y t do, y nhng iu kin thun li bc i trn con ng tu, con ng a chng ta n gii thot v t n trng thi vin mn. Nhng t c n trng thi gii thot vin mn ny, chng ta cn phi trau luyn c c kh nng lm ch c tm v an tr c trong t tnh ca tm (nature of mind). Lm ch c tm v qun chiu su sc thy c u l ngun gc ca kh no th s chuyn ho c m lm thnh ra tr tu, v s ct b c gc r gy ra kh no lun hi. Truyn thng no cng vy, d l theo Nguyn Thy, i Tha hay Kim Cang Tha th nh vn l mt trong nhng yu t quyt nh ca con ng tu. C nhiu ngi tng lm rng tu theo Kim Cang Tha th khng cn thin, hay tu theo Tnh th khng cn thin, nhng y l nhng nhn xt sai lm. Khng thc tp thin nh, khng thc tp chnh nim, hay khng tu tp pht trin nh lc, khng c kh nng pht trin s ch tm cao th kh c th hnh tr mt cch c hiu qu nhng php tu khc nh qun tng cc Bn-Tn trong Mt-Tng, hay vic nht tm tr ch cho n khi bt lon ca Tnh- tng? Nu ni mt cch khc th khi nht tm tr ch cng l thin, khi nht tm qun tng hnh nh Bn-Tn cng l thin. Bc k tip sau thin-ch (calm-abiding meditation) s l thin qun hay thin minh st (vipassana/insight meditation), l qun chiu ni tm, qun chiu vn php. Trc khi thc s ngi xung cng phu th phi lo hon thnh xong ht tt c cc vic cn lm khc, chng hn nh cn r chn bt th ra cho xong chn bt, cn gi in thoi th gi cho xong c in thoi, cn gip con ci th lm cho xong vic ri hn ngi xung thin. Nh vy trong khi ngi cng phu th bt lo ra! Thm na, trc khi ngi xung th phi t ha l by gi n thi cng phu, phi nht quyt tinh tn cng phu trong ng khong thi gian n nh v gi ng li ha.
