Can be used for transitions, etc. Sock Puppets- You can choose sock puppets and record speech so it can be played back for students later. Quizlet- Create classes, students can create flashcards, you can search and people have already created flashcards aligned with various content areas so you dont have to re-invent the wheel. You can hold kids accountable and make sure they actually complete the activity if you wanted to use it as an assignment. Doodle- Doodle poll, a tool to schedule meetings. The organizer lists several meeting times that the meeting can be held and participants go to the website, indicate when they are available and Doodle will track the dates/times that will work for all (or the most) people. Site Reading Plus- Music app- Improves site reading skills APS MusicMaster Pro- Will play different notes on the iPad so students can see and hear the note, there is a musical term glossary so students can look up vocabulary words. There is a metronome to keep time. Music can be recorded and played back so students can hear what they just played. Scores can be imported and annotated on, stored, etc. Calendars can be imported. MyScript Calculator- Students can write on the screen and the calculator will work the problem out for you. Penultimate- Students can write (with a stylus or their finger) notes or draw pictures and it will save to evernote. There is a search engine that will look for their notes (even when it is in their own handwriting) You can change the paper for lined paper, graph paper, plain paper, writing paper, etc. iTunesU- You can create your own course in iTunesU, students enroll in your course. You can upload all of your resources to your class (books, music, videos, pdfs, etc.) Students can download materials at school and then access them at home even if they dont have wifi. Guide- Pick a news story and an avatar will read you the news story. Coin Flip Deluxe- Can flip a coin, etc. Prezi- Online presentation tool (can be used on iPad through the app or on a PC) Doodle Pro- Students can take a picture and write on it (label certain parts

Animoto- Students create videos of different things, you can add music, pictures, etc. Piano Virtuoso 3- You can put the key names on the piano, play the piano on the iPad AnyList- You can create several lists, sync between devices, grocery lists, to do lists CamScanner- You can take a picture of documents, etc. You can crop out what you want/dont want, etc. You can rotate it, etc. It can turn it into a PDF Desmos- Graphing Calculator App- Students can manipulate lines and visually see how a line changes as an equation changes WATCH OUT FOR: Mathway- Students can type in any problem and the app will solve it for them (and show them the steps if they pay for it) Perhaps use Educreations to have students explain the steps of a problem, so you know they know how to do it. Docsteach- Uses the National Archives to create activities that mirror Smarter Balanced Assessment items. Students interact with historical documents. Team Shake- Create lists, load a list, and it will create groups for you. Phonics Genius- Record yourself saying different sounds so students can see/hear Sentence- Students can drag and drop words to create sentences Stick Pick- Randomly pick students at the beginning of class (or during class) to randomly select students for particular purposes. You can select different levels of Blooms Taxonomy for each student so you can encourage higher order thinking skills for students, differentiated instruction. Word Mover- Read, Write, Think App- Similar to Magnetic Poetry, generate a list of words or phrases, select a pre-existing word list, famous speeches, etc., students can create their own background Questimate- Can create questions using word, then students estimate the answer to the question, the closer they are to the estimate, the more points they get. Cozi- Family organizer, compadible with iPhone, iPad, and Android. Family calendar can be viewed by anyone you share the code with, create shopping lists, etc.
