Mexico is located in North America, below the United States of America The Caribbean Sea is to its left and the Gulf of Mexico is on the right Mexico is 761,600 square miles and a population of 112.3 million people Costal regions stay warm throughout the year. The uplands become cold Dec-Feb. June and Sept are the rainy seasons and there can be frequent snowfall Mexico is a congressional democracy and an elected president

Religion
Most Mexicans consider themselves Christians and most of those are Roman Catholic.
They respect the person, promote the family, protect property rights, work for the common good, observe the principle of subsidiary, respect work and worker, and pursue peace and care for the poor Their religious rituals are determined by the Catholic calendar. Easter is the most significant.

Christmas, Easter, Ash Wednesday, Palm Sunday, Independence Day, Flag Day, and Cinco De Mayo are celebrated and schools are closed

They go to mass and they observe seven sacraments
On Guadalupes Day, every community has its own patron saint who is honored with fiestas every year They celebrate the Day of the Dead. They arrange altars in their homes with food, beverages, and other things to welcome them back to Earth. Some also visit churchyards and graves and decorate them. They have events for births, weddings, deaths, and quinceanera

Teaching in Mexico
When saying the pledge, you salute the flag with a raised arm. When it is being paraded, your arm is held across your chest and palm parallel to the ground
Birthdays are celebrated with great parties. There are lots of food and the cake is the most important. They sing La Mordida. Teachers can use holidays to teach about the history of the holiday and how they came about.
