Missing Assignment PolicyPlease review again

Students are expected to complete and turn in assignments on time. The consequence for late work is a card flip, loss of participation in Fun Friday, a sign in and only partial credit for the assignment when it is finally turned in. Students will sign in to our missing homework binder and a note will be sent home attached to the missing assignment, which requires a parent signature. This note and assignment must be completed and returned with the very next day. If students forget to bring unfinished classwork home to complete and it ends up incomplete/missing when it is supposed to be due, they must adhere to my missing assignment policy. It is difficult to see a child get marked down on an assignment and I understand that. However, I must be fair and consistent with ALL students. I am also trying to prepare students to be responsible and PREPARED for middle school and beyond. Unfortunately, part of learning is facing consequences so mistakes do not happen again and a lesson is learned. I appreciate your help, support and guidance as your child grows throughout the school year. Thank you for all you do!
