Chunky Move is an Australian dance company from Southbank, Victoria. It was founded in 1995 and debuted at the Melbourne Arts Festival with artistic director Gideon Obarzanek. The companys work is diverse and included stage, new-media and installation work.

- Frieder Weiss is an expert when it comes to interactive software and development. He is and engineering expert in the arts and real time computing which involves his motion sensing programs used in many of the performances by the Australian based dance company CHUNKY MOVE.

Nick Roux is a sound and video genius and is the man working behind the scenes making all the music, installations and designing come to life. His areas of expertise are composing, editing, directing, and designing in performance installations and screen based work. -

SOFTWARE * Calypso and EyeCon are both motion sensing softwares specifically created for use in the arts as an eye capturing experience.

MOTION CAPTURE * 12-24 cameras are put all around in all angles with infrared lights lining the outside of the lenses.

The designing of the software was to create a visually attracting image that changes with every move the dancer makes, every performance is different because each movement the dancer makes

Reflective markers placed all over the body are used to track body movement

*EyeCon is more of a video camera based software that uses practically any camera that has high quality in picture and lighting

Mortal Engine -Mortal Engine is a intermedia dance performance using movement and sound responsive projections to portray an ever-shifting, shimmering world in which the limits of the human body are an illusion.
