Belief Statement: The counselor at Lake Windward Elementary believes that: *All students have dignity and worth. *All students can achieve and be successful. *All students have different learning styles and are all able to learn. *All students will have access to a comprehensive, developmental school counseling program by a masters level, state certified professional school counselor. *All students, regardless of their cultural/racial differences and special needs, are considered during the planning and implementation process of the Lake Windward Elementary Counseling Program.
Vision Statement: We are dedicated to removing obstacles to student achievement while providing developmentally appropriate counseling services and advocating for all students. Mission Statement: The mission of the Lake Windward Elementary Counseling Department is to enhance and promote educational performance, providing all students with the opportunities to acquire the academic, social, and career skills essential to achieve quality learning and life-long success.

Program Goal 1 and type of data collected (Process, Perception, and/or Outcome): Students in grades 4 and 5 will report increased awareness/knowledge of bully/victim/bystander awareness and increased levels of safety and satisfaction in school safety and responsiveness to bullying incidents. Pre and post test data to be gathered in grades 4 and 5.
Program Goal 2 and type of data collected (Process, Perception, and/or Outcome): To encourage student attendance, and therefore, student achievement by increasing our students skill in time management and personal responsibility through the efforts of small group to target our at risk students. This goal will be measured by a reduction of the number of days being impacted by attendance. To decrease by 10%, the number of days impacted by partial day attendance in an at-risk population of students. Data will be collected.
