ARCHMERE ACADEMY HOSTS HUGE GARAGE & ESTATE SALE MARCH 22

(Claymont, DE) February 19s, 2014 On Saturday, March 22, 2014 the Moglia Fieldhouse on Archmere Academys campus will be overflowing with garage sale treasures from estate collections and housewares, to collectibles, art work, books, toys, and electronics - from sporting equipment, outdoor toys and bicycles, to men's, women's and children's clothing, shoes, jewelry and more! The sale runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 3600 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703.

The Archmere Mothers Guild, a group of parent volunteers, prepares and organizes the items in two large gymnasiums for the Academys Annual Garage Sale, which raises funds for the school. This is the 43rd anniversary of this sale, and volunteers say this year there will be more furniture for sale than ever! This is partly in thanks to the Archmere Academy Fathers Club, who provided a pick-up service for furniture donations.

The sale has become a community event, drawing a sizable crowd to the Archmere campus each year. This is a great tradition, not only because it brings together the members of the Archmere community as they volunteer and work together to raise funds for the school, but because it opens the campus to the greater community, says Archmere Headmaster, Dr. Michael Marinelli. --
