Indications: Symptomatic treatment of functional asthenia
Drug Classification: Nootropics & Neurotonics
Mechanism of Action: Sulbutamine increases physical resistance to fatigue,
neuromuscular efficiency and learning and memory. It improves the metabolic
functions of the cerebral cortex, it is d symptomatic treatment of functional
asthenia. It is rapidly absorbed and the blood circulation is maimum in 1-2
hours after oral administration.
Dosage: Adult: 23 tab daily
Special Precautions: Use in pregnancy: No fetal toxicity or malformation has been
reported. However, follow-up of women exposed to Arcalion during pregnancy
is insufficient to exclude such a risk. Therefore, as a precautionary measure, it is
preferable not to use Arcalion during pregnancy.
Use in lactation: In the absence of data concerning the diffusion into breast
milk, breastfeeding is not recommended during treatment.
Pregnancy Risk Category: No fetal toxicity or malformation has been reported
Adverse Reactions: Occasionally: Mild agitation in the elderly, allergic skin reactions
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the drug
Form: Tab: 200 mg
Nursing Responsibilities:
 Educate not to use during pregnancy (as much as possible)
 Not recommended during lactation
 Instruct patient to report any allergic reaction
