The educator will ask Who do you want to be when you grow up and why? for every child to answer. After all the children have dressed up, I will get all the children to line up in the book corner in front of a sign done by the children saying When I grow up I want to be... Before videoing the children I will take pictures of each child in their costumes to display on the wall.

2.553.05 pm

Lesson Closure:(Review lesson objectives with students) After the movie has been recorded and children have undressed themselves out of their costumes, the educator will ask all the children to sit on the mat once again. Thank you so much for dressing up today. You all did a fantastic job with your costumes and talking about who you are and why you want to be a cop or a nurse and all the different jobs you want to do. Now are you ready to watch our very own class movie? Play video and discuss with children the different jobs everyone wants to do when they grow up.

Transition: (What needs to happen prior to the next lesson?) As it will be home time children will pack up their belongings and sit down for some quiet time. The educator will give them choices between; read their own book, play a puzzle, smart board activity and a book read by the teacher.

Assessment: (Were the lesson objectives met? How will these be judged?) Children will be assessed via the movie. The educator will write anecdotes on how the children conveyed their message about who they are and why they want to do that particular job when they grow up. The movie will be played to parents as well.
