Arctic Wolf/ Arctic The habitat of this wolf is mostly in Alaska but they can also be found in Greenland

and in some parts of Canada. But the numbers of wolves have decreased in this area drastically because in this area theres lack of food and the lose of the natural habitat. The only part that the numbers have not decrease is on Alaska because the temperature is to low. As the food of the wolf is so limited so what they eat is really specific. They eat Caribou and muskoxen. even though they are great hunters their prey often get away living them without food, thats why there are a lot of competition for food. They have sharp teeth that make the able to reap the flesh of the animal form the bones. There are able to eat 20 pounds of meat a day. Do to the freezing temperatures the food can last for many days. They have adapted to been able to not eating for a long period of time. There reproduction is complicated. Only the Alpha wolf and the Beta female can reproduce. Thats why male wolves live by there own. The urge to mate is high this is why the male wolf separates and creates their own pack. The female wolf digs a hole so the puppies are safe from other predators. The female often need to get food leaving the puppies alone making a big thread for them. The first introduction to the pack is with the mother at the three months of age, The hole pack will help to make the youngest wolves survive. By their location were they leave the will not have predators, but some times if a puppy goes far from the pack it will be eaten by other animals,

sometimes they will have fights between other packs for food or females and mating.
