We will be working on it over the course of a few days during the next few classes. The goal of this assignment is to simulate a speaking situation in a low pressure environment. You have plenty of time to think about what you want to say and how to say it. I suggest that, in order to get the maximum benefit from the assignment, you study the vocabulary and verbs. Then close your notes and start to write. You will find, as all my other classes have, that having the book closed makes the assignment faster and easier to complete. I'm looking for correct grammar in the first composition as much as I am looking for your ability to communicate. As you write, draw on the structures and vocabulary of recent lessons. Avoid drafting a composition in English and translating it into Spanish. Instead, recombine creatively the Spanish models that you have mastered so far. Pretend that you are part of a famous family (real or fictitious), such as the Kardashians, the Cleavers, the Addams, or the Kennedys. Decide where you fit in the family and write a 300-word composition describing your family. Using the grammar and vocabulary from the chapter, give several examples of what your family is the most of.
