This website is about the work environment and statistics for the job. This has all the statistics about how much architects make, the jobs now and the future jobs, education requirements, and other informational context. This will help me show to people that there are jobs in the future for architects and it is growing faster than most careers. This puts numbers with words, which backs up what people are saying. I like showing stats to people because it helps people understand things better. I used this site because it comes from the government. It was also updated recently which helps out with the information.

This website is like an interview with someone. They ask the person questions about their experience in the work force. I found this useful because the questions that are asked are basic question that anyone would ask someone the field. It talks about how he became an architect, what challenges he has had, and advice for others, and other questions. I chose it because it is

almost like getting feedback from a real person. This will help me give out information about an architect for people who are interested in becoming one. I will put informational slides on a PowerPoint. This is accredited because it shows the person who is being interviewed his background. It shows that he has three degrees in architecture and has worked for 6 years so far.

This talks in depth about the education and what some of the students getting into the field of architecture can expect to see. She talks about some of the long hours, and tough studio assignments that one will go through while you are studying architecture. She also touches on some of the different routes one can take while theyre studying architecture. I like this article because it puts in perspective what architecture students go through and it is not an easily field to study. I think some people only think architects build models all day and draw. That is true to some extent, but there is a lot more that an architect must do. This article was a peer reviewed article.

This article is about the different programs architects are starting to use. With the advancements of technology today, architects have to be exposed to the new technologies. This talks about DS and LS and how architects use them. I got the opportunity to see an architect use one program called CAD. It looks very complex and he said that you have to go to classes everyone once in a while to make sure you know how to use the program. This is very important to my project because I am using a computer program but nowhere as complex as CAD. This article is peer reviewed.

This article touches on the importance for permits for housing and some of the things and architect has to go through during their planning stage. She expresses architecture through an art form in her plans but that has a downfall to them, and that is it doesnt met the code building have. One thing I like about this article, is that she explains some of her visions of housing she wanted to build. Reading some of her thoughts on how she would build houses, gave me an influence on some of my thoughts on the house I am designing. This is helpful for my project because I need to make sure everything that I do is up to code and dont have any problems. It

also helps me with some of my thought process in designing the house. This article is a peer reviewed article.

This article talks about the post war, World War II, architecture in the United States. She talks about how Americans what to have glamor in their housing. She talked about the movement in Hollywood where everyone wanted to start to build bigger and make it look like they are on top. The author also used some architectural language which will be helpful when I am talking to people about architecture. This will help me better understand the new modern architecture and why we made the shift. This article is peer reviewed.

This is a website I found that talks about the education and career information. I found this very useful in researching what someone has to do in order to become an architect and also gives a little information about the life of an architect. It also talks about the NAAB which is very important when you look for a school to study architecture. That gives you the right to be a licensed architect and sign plans. The program here at UNCC is accredited, and that is one of the

main reasons I wanted to come here. This website gives me very valuable information about education. I used this because it says it is accredited business at the bottom of the page. It is ranked an A+ from the BBB. Also it has many links to different schools that offer architecture.

This article talks about some of the topics you will study while you are getting your degree. I found this very helpful because I wanted to know what I will be learning while I am getting my degree. This helped me with my interview on Friday because I talked about some of the programs architects use and I also have seen one of the programs in use. I also found out that the program at UNCC actually teaches you two of the main programs architects use. Doing this research actually helped me talk about the programs while I was touring the program on Friday. It also talks about how to become a licensed architect. This is accredited because it is an organization that created the website. It also has links that go to other links for schools and more information about architects.

This article is about residential housing around the world, but focusing mainly on Cuba. Architecture is all around the world and everywhere is in need for architects. This article gives me a broad range of information about housing, and design process that happens overseas. I want to know how housing is thought of and developed not just in the United States but in other countries. I believe when you are studying architecture, you must open up and see things that are outside of your country. For instance, I went to Germany over the summer and did an architectural tour of Berlin. When you see things completely different from home, you start to think and possibly bring some of their architecture back into yours. This is an accredited article because it is peer reviewed.

This article is about the environment and residential housing. It talks about how the increasing of houses and the effects it has on the environment. This talks about how housing in the United States is starting to move towards a more compacted house. I chose this because of

that reason. I found it interesting that we, United States, are moving towards a compacted house instead of a bigger house. This also made me think a little more about my thought process in designing my house. I also enjoy learning more about environmental improvements in architecture.
