Schooling is the biggest thing that an architect must go through in order to become a successful architect. According to a website, Residential architects, like all architects, earn a professional degree from a program accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) (Education Portal, 2014). This is very important to make sure the school you attend is NAAB accredited. In the state of North Carolina, there are only two universities that offer the NAAB. Those two universities are North Carolina State University, and The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. If the college youre attending doesnt offer the NAAB program then you can still become an architect but not licensed or cant sign away projects. Along with schooling, you need to see if being an architect is for you. Some of the classes you would take in college can be challengingg and hard. A website stated that, Undergraduate programs teach computer-aided drafting, physics, trigonometry and statistics (Degreedirectory, 2013). The job field is very long and hard. Most architects will tell new architects or architectural students that schooling is only one hurdle you have to jump over. According to Jen, One of the challenges in this field is that it is a looooong process to get to become an "architect" (PayScale, 2009). When you are done with educationschooling and knowing whether or not you want to be an architect, then you have to find a job. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistic, the architects job outlook willis increaseing 17% between the years 2012-2025 (Architects, 2014). Knowing the job field is increasing over the next ten years, is a good feeling.
Comment [l1]: Reword to but you will not be licensed so you can not approve of any projects

For my actual project I designed my own house and want to sell it to a potential client. When reading and learning more about architecture, I made sure I had things in my house that would really pop out and make clients want to buy it. Reading an article made me think about my design process and why I should design it the way I did. This article was about the house sizes in the United States and also the environmental effects it has. One fact I found interesting was that, In new, single-family houses constructed in the United States, living area per family member has increased by a factor of 3 since the 1950s (Wilson and Boehland, 2008). In order tTo see that houses are increasing in size means less land and more environmental issues.
