Reflection

By: A.T
As Ive mentioned in the Introductory, I work in both the Fictional and Nonfictional sides of writing. However, like most people I have feelings about it. Writing can bring us joy, sorrow, laughter, anger, and many other emotions. In my opinion, I feel that writing is a valuable asset in our lives. It can let us vent out our feelings through poetry, inform people of good deeds and bad, and it can even entertain us with tales of adventure or woe. However, good pieces of writing are just like the moon, it cant be visible without the sun. There are many bad pieces of writing out there, some of which have potential but just need to be edited a bit. I think my place among the good and bad am among the good. I enjoy the act of writing, although there have been ups and downs among the way, which has given my several opportunities to improve my skill. As youve seen in the Science tab in the TOC, I have published a small PowerPoint covering the subject of Congenital Analgesia. You may have been wondering what it has to do with English, but it does have something in common with it. The pieces main purpose was to inform, and the way it was organized perfectly corresponded with the purpose. Moving on, I have to admit that this project has made me progress on my way to become an adequate writer. Out of all the pieces, Congenital Analgesia has aided me the most. You see, I havent explored much of the ways of how to inform, and that piece helped my gain experience in the subject. I would like to venture on and improve my skills in informing from now on. Although the Science project has helped me, it wasnt like the other pieces havent helped me at all. It also helped me progress my skills in the purposes they covered. To be honest, I would say that the A Christmas Carol essay helped me the second most. It was difficult for me to write the piece, because I always add a ludicrous amount of details that arent needed. The revision process helped me a lot by eliminating most of the unnecessary ones, and let me learn how to identify core details. I feel that this project has helped me developed more towards the goal of being a writer by helping me see the difference by being detailed, and including every single thing. It also helped me improve my skills in the area of informing, and helped me gain experience in all the other subjects I covered. The digital revision process was a major part in improving the pieces, thus adding more experience in digital writing.
