Day-to-day supervision of mechanics for maintenance and instrumentation.
Maintain the mechanical integrity of entire facility, develop and implement programs and practices to reduce unplanned downtime and maintenance costs.
Coordinate execution of all work orders and evaluation of the finished work to standards for quality and timeliness
Conduct field walk downs to identify and analyze corrective and preventive maintenance and modification activities and to provide input for refining and improving work package quality. Interface and collaborate with Work Management, Supply, Operations, and Engineering to identify and resolve work package issues Verify work instructions are adequate and comply with all applicable site procedures. Approve and review all required work packages to ensure safety, high quality, technical rigor, and completeness. Develop, revise, and review maintenance procedures to facilitate and enhance work package development, maintain compliance with codes, standards, and vendor recommendation, and maintenance direction. Provide project management of other on-site contractors.
Participate in work scheduling meetings, planning feedback/craft interface time, complex troubleshooting, and daily coordination meetings.
Must have the ability to learn and utilize our CMMS (IMMPOWER) as the role relates to the processes. Will be required to update CMMS system as necessary. Communicate and assist the Environmental, Health & Safety Department with areas the maintenance department is responsible for or affected by.
Preferred: 4-year or two year technical degree relevant to Successful completion of core supervisory/management training and development programs Familiar with Safety programs, OSHA & EPA regulations Prior experience in the food processing industry.
