Since the beginning of the year, I have grown significantly as student and
as mathematician. One significant way I have grown as a mathematician
this year was that I couldnt solve equations and was having trouble with
graphing different kind of equations. Then, this used to make me frustrated.
However, this time I tried my best to understand the teachers explanations
and I tried to practice everyday. After one month, my brain started to take
informations that I needed, so now I know how t o Therefore now, I know
how to create an equation from the graphs and create a graph for the
equation.
One thing that I enjoy about math class is that I love to figure out the
hard problems, and drawin gs that I have to find the how many triangles. I
love to find how many triangles are there problem because the triangles
are mysterious and sometimes there are a lot of triangles and it is hard to
find them. For example, one time I thought that I found the answer and the
answer was 24 triangles, but it was 64 triangles. After that, I was getting
better and better, then I moved onto another, which are hard problems. I
enjoy this because it is a brain teaser, this means it is a puzzle game.
I had a fear about math class in the beginning of the year because I
had to adapt to teachers, to the class or what is happening in the class.
First, I had fear about teachers because some teachers are good and some
teachers are not that good. However, my teacher is very kind and good
because in the beginning he didnt even ask anything and tried to explain
everything for me, to make my understanding better. Second part was that I
had to adapt to the class and everyone because there are a lot of students
and different opinions. There can be students that are smarter than me but
I have to challenge them and be smart like them.
I still have some problems with my performance in the math class
because sometimes I am shy. To get over this problem I have to participate
more and try to ask question so that I will not get confused. Third way to
make my performance better in math class is that I have to do my each and
every homework because when you do homework there are a lot of
problems that will teach you some information for your objective. From
now, I will try my best to get the best performance in the math class.
