How Does Email Work?

Packet- the unit of data that is routed between an origin and a destination.
When any file is sent from one place to another on the Internet, the TCP of
TCP/IP divides the file into "chuns" of an efficient si!e for sending. "ach of
these pacets is separately numbered and includes the Internet address of
the destination. When they have all arrived, they are transformed bac into
the original file
TCP/IP- Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol. It#s the basic
communication language or protocol of the Internet. The TCP layer breas
up sent files into $chuns% that mae it an easy si!e for delivering the
message.

mail.% This server will
communicate with the
*omain +ame (erver to find
the recipients email server. If
it can find it, it will send the
message through. The
recipient downloads new
messages to their email and
receives the message. If it
can#t find the recipients email
server, the sender will get a
$)ail ,ailure% notification.
Email
-n email is an electronic message that can include te't, video, pictures,
other attachments .word documents, slideshows etc./. There are many
other features to sending/composing the email as well. CC, carbon copy,
allows you to send what is basically a duplicate email to someone. 0CC,
blind carbon copy, allows you to send a carbon copy to others but the
original recipient will not be able to see that you sent the message to your
0CC contact.
