ASIFI On The Snow
On February 1st 2nd 2014, between the white mountains of a north-
ern Italian region, Trentino, the first italian physiotherapy students
association (ASIFI - Associazione degli Studenti Italiani di Fisioterapia)
meeting took place. At the event participated about thirty students
coming from different italian universities (Verona, Padua, Bologna, Mi-
lan), some of them were just graduated, whereas others just entered
in the physiotherapic world. We met each other, played with physio-
therapy and left with a stronger energy and passion.

The event had different goals: it was a first chance to build relation-
ships between students coming from different italian university; an
opportunity to share projects, ideas which could develop our educa-
tional experience; a stimulus to plan events like this in other Italian
realities, allowing students to meet, enjoying through the common
identity of Physiotherapy.

Mobility maps
Mobility maps:
We want more maps :)! Please create a mobility map of
your own country, and send me the link!
How to do it?
make categories of color for the pins (e.g. green =
bachelor, red = master,...)
Then find schools:
1. Search them by school-address or school's name,
2. School is marked with an 'A' mark, you can add all
information what you think could be helpful (e.g. website,
email, school-fee).
3. Click on mark
4. Click 'save to map'
5. Click on share the map with others
and send the given link to Henrike:
sg.ecpts@gmail.com
National students boards
On the website you can also find information
about the students associations on the web-
site, but this is till now only available for
Germany and Czech Republic. It would be
fantastic if you could gather some informa-
tion about your own and send it to me. Its
great advertising for your associations and
helps other students find relevant informa-
tion and links.
And we would like to put the email-address of
the country delegates on the website, so that
people who have concrete questions about a
country can directly contact the student. So
please send me the email-address (you can
also create one like: ECPTScoun-
try@gmail.com, which I can put on the web-
site for your country. Please email Henrike
with your preferred contact email address!
We need help making our website even more
awesome. Unfortunately ECPTS do no have infor-
mation about every country so we need you
guys!!
Attached you find a country questionnaire, which
should be filled in and then send it to Henrike:
sg.ecpts@gmail.com
Mobility questionnaires
Our mobility group worked on a fantastic
questionnaire to gather the most important
information from each country. You will
find this questionnaire attached as a word-
document. Please take your time to answer
as a country representative for your
country. If you
have any questions or concerns dont
hesitate to contact Mira from our
mobility group!

New member from Finland
Hi!
My name is Mariia Helske (26 years) and I study physiotherapy in Helsinki,
Finland. I just finished my third semester and have now 4 semesters left (we stude 3.5 years or 7 semesters). My school is
Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. We have many faculties in our school and in my faculty you can study to become
for example Occupational therapist and Prothetist & Orthotist. Our school is one of the biggest Univesities of Applied
Sciences in Finland and very popular school. In the Physiotherapy
Before my studies in Physiotherapy, I have studied linguistics and more precisely German translation in Helsinki University.
I now have a Masters Degree in Linguistics, where my main subject was german translating.
In my earlier studies I have lived and worked in Germany and I have also made an Erasmus student exchange in
Hildesheim, Germany. I have also worked abroad for example in Italy as an Alpine guide. In my studies as a
physiotherapist, I have taken part to an intensive program in Haapsalu, Estonia.
We studied the basics of client work in a neurological rehabilitation center with many students from different European
countries (Bulgary, Denmark, Portugal etc.). It was interesting to see, how the physiotherapists work differs in Estonia and
other European countries. This is why Im also interested to work on a European level. I would like to get involved in
international work in Physiotherapy and also make an exchange somewhere abroad.
Greetings from Finland!
Mariia
Changing education in Italy
The active students from Italy are currently working on the
project of changing the education from 3 to 4 years. So they
would be grateful to receive curricula or information of stu-
dents who studied within the period of 3 years. If you have
information for them, they will be grateful to receive it, just
send it to Nicola: nicolalaudadio@gmail.com
