Rationale
I am including these pieces of artifacts, because they
show all of the leadership and teamwork skills and
knowledge I have developed throughout this year. I was
the leader of getting Volunteers for our Lamoille
Obstacle Race, so I had to find over 20 volunteers to
help run the race. I also had to make sure every
obstacle was covered by a volunteer. For the Lamoille
Wood Project, my class and I had to work together as a
team to stack wood for low income families in Vermont
to have wood for the winter.
Knowledge

I learned that teamwork and leadership skills are very
important to achieve any goals. From a classroom
environment to a business environment to achieve
anything there must be teamwork and leadership. I
learned that being a leader instead of a follower you
learn more, achieve more, and develop more knowledge
in this subject. For example, I was the leader of getting
volunteers for the Lamoille Obstacle Race and I learned
that it isnt easy; it takes time and dedication to achieve
a goal. This is why you must always have a plan and
have a time set when it comes to achieving something
big.
Skills
I have developed a lot of leadership and teamwork skills
from this program. Business isnt all about competition; it
is also about being a leader and a team member. In my
class we have done a lot of team activities and
community service together. Doing all of these activities
really helped me achieve the leadership and teamwork
skills, because we are always working together as a
team and must be our own leaders at the same time. It
may seem impossible to have these two traits, but
practicing these two traits a whole school year you
realize they both work well together as a team.
Growth and
Improvement
Statement

I have learned and obtained a lot of skills in this
program, especially teamwork and being a leader. Being
in a business environment I notice that having these
skills really help accomplish goals. I can honestly say
this program really helped me improve in my teamwork
and leadership skills. Now, when I walk into a job or
when I open my business, I will know how to be a leader
and a team player.
