Alec, | cannot begin to adequately express in a letter such as this how much | appreciate your willingness to share your time and expertise with my colleagues here in South Carolina at USC Upstate. Most importantly, | thank you for the opportunity you provided for me to share how a personal learning network might work and why it might be a good idea to try to build and participate in one. This example of connecting with our colleague in Canada was such a perfect illustration, ‘And further, the kind of colleagueship you constantly display along with your thoughtful dissemination of your scholarly contributions is exemplary. You are modeling for us how new tools (like Skype for example) can be used to broaden breadth and depth of what we can teach and learn and build together in a professional community made significantly larger by electronic media. Indeed, itis a special thing. | count myself very privileged to have crossed paths with you ~ however virtually. And | look forward to continued opportunities to learn from you and your good work.
