teacher this year. This is my third year at Edward Coles. I grew up on the South side of Chicago with one sibling. I graduated from Chicago State University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. I am currently pursuing my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction at National Louis University with November 2014 as my completion date. Over the past few years, I have become very aware of a teachers impact. As students come to school, they are handed over to the care of the teacher. I have always been a huge supporter of frequent home-school communication. It is my hope that this newsletter will be the beginning of regular communication between you and I. You will be informed of classroom activities, but I would like to discuss your child individually. My hope leads to a small request. Would you take the time to jot down some thoughts about your child? Strengths? Proudest moments? What are your hopes for your child this year? Feel free to include more. Why? I believe that when the teacher and parent work together, the possibilities are endless! Please find my contact information located on the next page. I look forward to your letters.
