Enter the class on time

Tardy Procedure

Enter Class Tardy
Sign in on Tardy Log
If you have a pass, clip to tardy log
2 Tardies = phone call to parent

In/Out Procedure (Hall Passes)
You will be given ONLY 6 opportunities to
leave Mrs. Jacksons classroom each 6wks.
USE THEM WISELY!
After you have used those 6 opportunities you
will no longer be able to leave my classroom.
If you loose your pass you will not be able to
leave my classroom.

In/Out Procedure (Hall Pass)

When you do get the permission to leave you
will bring Mrs. Jackson your 6wks pass to sign.
Sign out on the In/Out Log located by the
Assignment Center.
Proceed to your Destination (ie. Bathrom,
office, locker)
Sign back in on the In/Out Log when you
return and return the pass to its designated
place.

Exiting Class
The teacher will dismiss the class NOT THE
BELL.
Do not pack books to exit class until
instructed to do so by the teacher.
Students are responsible for cleaning the
area around their desks before leaving

Spiral Notebook for Mystery State Warm-Ups
Composition Book (100 page)
Grading Pen (anything other than blue or black
pen)
Typed or computer generated work will be
accepted with prior approval of teacher.
Students may use a pencil or a pen (blue or black
ink)
All students are welcomed to use community
supplies as long as they clean up behind
themselves.
Extra Credit
Each pass is worth five extra credit points
or five tickets at the end of the six weeks
if you do not use them.
Use your passes wisely.
NO OTHER EXTRA CREDIT WILL BE GIVEN

Absent Procedure

When you are absent the first thing you
should do is check the Assignment Center
Calendar and Planner.
You are responsible for any work that you
have missed. This includes:
All Warm-Ups
Assignments/Homework
Worksheets that were distributed
Lecture Notes
Turning in Absent Work
Attach the We missed You! (orange sheet
located in the Assignment Center File) sheet to
your assingment. Write ABSENT and the DATE you
were absent at the top of the assignment and
place it in your appropriate block tray.
You will have as many days as you were absent to
turn in the work.
1 day absent = 1 day to do work
2 days absent = 2 days to do work
Exception to the rule= If it is an
assignment/project that has been assigned for over
two weeks
Homework Procedure

Placing Homework on the top of your desk is a classroom routine
expectation (#3).
If you did not complete your homework for whatever the reason is
follow these steps:
1. Get a NO HOMEWORK EXCUSE FORM from the assignment center.
Fill it out and attach it to your incomplete homework.
2. Take your NO HOMEWORK EXCUSE FORM home to your parents and
get their signature.

Mrs. Jackson will NOT accept your late work until there is a parent
signature. Therefore your grade will remain a 0 until your No
Homework Excuse Form comes back with a parent signature.


Turn in Papers
Your proper heading must be in the upper right hand
corner of all assignments. (First and last name, date, and
block/period) No name papers are thrown in the recycle
bin. If you have the opportunity to retrieve your no name
assignment 10 points will be deducted without proper
heading.
If writing is not legible it will be returned to the student.
Absolutely NO rough edges or tears on paper
Pencil, blue or black ink muse be used (not for grading)
More than one page must be stapled together
Mrs. Jackson does not accept INCOMPLETE ASSIGNMENTS.

Late Work
To ensure the students academic success, all work should be
turned in on time. Any late work will receive a grade no higher
than an 85. Assignments turned in 1 day late will received a 15pt
deduction; 2 days late will receive a 30pt deduction. Three days or
more late will receive a grade no higher than a 50.
All assignments presented with tears, sloppiness, or incompletion will
not be accepted and will be returned to students to do over as
expected. Incomplete assignments will not be accepted and will
be returned to students to do over as expected. A No Homework
Excuse will be given for ALL late assignments and turned in the
following day with a parents signature. Late assignments without
parent signatures will not be accepted. The No Homework Excuse
is a tool used to hold all students accountable and to
communicate with parents about missing/late/incomplete
assignments.
Academic Dishonesty
A student found cheating or aiding in
cheating will receive and office referral
along with a zero for that particular
assignment.

Walking In the Hallways As A
Class
Students are expected to walk in a
straight line when in the hallway on the far
right side.
There will be NO TALKING in line. Other
students are still in class.
Incentives
Panther Store ( Tuesday Everglades) Tickets
must have a teachers signature on the back
along with students name on the front.
Fantastic Fridays Students who do have no
zeros in any class will get to have recess the
last block of the day at the fifth week of the
six weeks.
