PHARMACY ASSOCIATION CONSTITUTION


Mission: to promote and value pharmacy career through
learning, research and education of people about pharmacy
practice, related issues and public health problems in general.
Vision: to resolve public health problems through research and
education of people.
Objectives
Encourage unity among pharmacy students.
Hold seminars, symposia, conferences and exhibitions for
promoting the course of pharmacy profession.
Uphold pharmacy profession ethics.
Promote research.
Committee structure and its Job description
MKU pharmacy association comprises:
1. Executive committee composed by:
President: - In charge of coordination of all activities of the
association.
- To represent the association in case of need.
- To ensure that the rules and regulations of the
association are maintained.
- He/she should be innovative.

Vice-president: -To advise the president
-To represent the association in case the
present is not able.
Secretary: - Typing, filling and organizing official data and
information.
- Organize and manage official correspondence
and mails.
- Facilitate organization of internal and external
meetings as well as workshops.
- Communicate everyone in case there is a
meeting.
- Make sure that the room where the meeting is
supposed to take place is prepared.
Treasurer: - create the association funds.
- keep the association wealth.
- Innovation of activities generating incomes.
2. Four (4) commissions: each made by 3 to 4 persons.
I. Public health:
- Evaluates public health status
-Studies the challenges and affordability of reaching solutions and
advocate them.
-Proposes affordable solutions to improve public health well being
through reaching communities.
II. Information and education:
-Serves as center of information and education to the association
-Upholds the information rights for the benefit or interests of the
association by promoting and ensuring softness in flow of information
-Serves as engine of any sensitizational and educative approache for
the benefit or outcome of the association
III. Research and publication:
- To update members and the community in general about pharmacy
and health related researches
- To do research about drugs and health in general according to
affordability of the association.
-Providing solutions through research.
IV. Student exchange studies:
- Monitoring of exchange agreement activity
- Promote national and international relations and exchanges.
-Providing student support through holding seminars as well as
attending national and international seminars and meetings.
3. Advisory council
Composed of all class representatives and their assistants studying
pharmacy: -Supervise the executive committee.
- Advise the executive committee.
- Prepare and conduct elections.
