Travis Hash
1. Apple unveils two new iPhones, Apple Watch and ApplePay
2. The article I read about the new Apple IPhone 6 and IPhone 6 Plus was partly about the
buzz and hype about the new release. A majority of the article was about the new
technology behind it all. The two newest and biggest technology advancements in the
IPhones are the A8 processor and the iOS 8 software. The A8 processor is 25% faster
than the old 5s processor and runs an m8 co-processor. The new iOS 8 software features
a new HealthKit application that can monitor things like heart rate, weight, and blood
pressure. The new look may be flashy and what catches everyones attention but the
new mobile technology behind it will certainly allow more capabilities that Apple fans
have been waiting for.

3. I ran the search for IPhone 6 Technology on two different search engines and came up
with two articles on the same topic as my original. The two different search engines I
used were Google and Bing. Because this is such a hot topic both search engines came
up with information fairly quickly. However, I did find that Bing was the better of the
two. Google had a bunch off ads and some websites that did not pertain to what I was
looking for. Bing came up with different links for articles immediately and without any
garbage or irrelevant links. Google also came up with unreliable sources such as
Wikipedia and Yahoo Answers. Bing seemed to show more accountable sources first.

4. TRAAP My Sources:
Time- Sep 9, 2014, 1:17 PM ET (Has not been updated)
Relevance- Yes it related to my topic
Authority- Susanna Kim is the author and she is qualified because she is a Business
Digital Reporter.
Accurate- The information is accurate and trustworthy because it come from ABC
News which is a very reliable source.
Purpose- The purpose for the article was to educate the public about the new
features of the IPhone 6 and IPhone 6 Plus. There is no bias because its written by
someone who doesnt work for IPhone.
5. Scholarly Journals:
4) The iPhone Takes to the Big Screen By Walter S. Mossberg
5) Apple iPhone 6 rumor roundup: Specs, price, release date By Charlie Osborne
i. Key Words: IPhone 6, IPhone 6 Plus, iOS Technology, New Features
ii. Data Base: Google because the CCBC Database was not up-to-date
with the newest IPhone information.
6) The two main differences between the internet articles and the scholarly journals
were the ease of access and the credibility. The internet article I just typed in what I
was looking for and it came up in seconds. Whereas, the journals took some
searching and switching of databases. The credibility of the authors was also much
better for the internet articles. Due to the fact that the internet articles came from
big name websites the authors were professional reporters in the technology field.

The scholarly journals were not professional and were more on the outside looking
in.
