1 Host performance degradation at configuration change
Phenomena When configuration change was performed on the TC RCU side, host
performance was degraded.
Severity (High, Medium, Low) Medium
Conditions of Occurrence The problem may occur when all the following conditions are met.
(1) TC configuration (Open/Mainframe)
(2) TC S-VOL
(3) Configuration operation, such as LUN or Host Group is performed.

2 Failure suspension in Universal Replicator pair
Phenomena In Open or mainframe Universal Replicator (UR) configuration,
SSB=EDCD (Excess of wait time of JNCB creation was detected >
Suspension due to a failure) occurs in a UR pair, then failure suspension
occurs in the UR pair. In this case, host I/O may stop.
Severity (High, Medium, Low) High
Conditions of Occurrence Phenomenon may occur when the following conditions A to C are met.
A. RAID600 Ver.60-06-12-00/00 and higher
B. Universal Replicator
C. Mainframe or OPEN
Causes and Updates In a UR pair, when an update I/O is received from a host, journal data is
created. At that time, if the journal data is not created after a certain
period of time passes, the situation is judged as abnormal and the UR pair
is suspended. Due to a micro-program bug in the process to judge the
certain period of time, a failure suspension falsely occurs. In this case of
the micro-program bug, as the host I/O is kept waiting for completion of
the failure suspension of UR pair, the host I/O may stop.
