----------------- Museum Internship

Exhibitions and Catalog Intern

Spring 2013

Inventory, Cataloging, and Accessions

In the spring of 2013 I assisted Martha George Withers in inventorying and
organizing the -------------- Museums collection. Several items were in need of
accession into the museums PastPerfect IV database and many others required more
information or an entry to go along with the labeled accession number. Over 1,000
items were updated or accessioned into the PastPerfect database and the whole
collection was organized and stored under proper preservation standards.

The following are examples of the variety of PastPerfect IV updates I made during my
internship. The first pages list the forty-one items I accessioned into the museums
PastPerfect database. As can be seen in the detailed entry examples of archival
documents, photographs, library books and objects, the items I accessioned were only
given a cursory description due to limited time and a large collection with several
items that were without an entry or unaccessioned.
