In contrast to the well-deined Antarctic, the Arctic has much more gradual
boundaries. Deined biologically, it includes the regions aboe the latitudinal
treeline. Climatologically, it includes the area with a mean July temperature o
10C. Geographically, it can also be deined by the extent o permanently
rozen ground, known as permarost. Remember that all these are dynamic,
with the Arctic`s boundaries shiting with shiting climate.
