having many similarities, they are also quite different in a number of important ways. Some of the

Brazil and Mexico are similar in several ways. First of all, like Brazil, Mexico has a very
ethnically diverse population. For example, while the Brazillian population is devided into four main
ethnic groups: Indigenous 7%, Europeans 55%, Africans 36% and Asians 2%, there is the same number
of main ethnic groups in Mexico: Indigenous 25%, Indigenous/Europeans or Mestizos 60%, Europeans
14% and Aficans 1%. In addition, both Brazil and Mexico are similar with regard to gender ratio. To

Brazil and 96 males for every 100 females in Mexico. A final point Brazil and Mexico have in common
is the same wealth distribution. In fact, in Brazil, as in Mexico, there is a small number of very wealthy
people and a large number of poor.

Mexico. Firstly, the population in these two countries is extremely. For instance, the population of
Brazil is over 192,000,000 which is the fifth-largest population in the world, whereas Mexicos
population is over 107,550,000 people which is the eleventh-highest population in the world.
Furthermore, Brazil is completely different from Mexico with respect to age groups. In particular, while
approximately 25% of the Mexican population is between 0 and 14 years old, roughly 68% is between
15 and 64 years old and only 7% is over 65 years old, Mexico has a relatively young population, with
34% aged under 14 and just 4% of people are older than 65. Finally, there is a difference between these
countries when it comes to language. To eloborate, although Portuguese is the only official language
and it is spoken in Brazil, in Mexico people speak languages such as Spanish is the main official
language, 62 indigenous languages, Mexican Spanish and English.
In conclusion, this essay has demonstrated a number of the similarities and differences between
Brazil and Mexico. Both are similar in terms of ethnic diversity, gender ratio and wealth distribution;
