Dear Friends and Family

Welcome to 2015! The year of HOPE and HOPE in abundance! We trust you had a
blessed Christmas and we want to wish you a hopeful and blessed 2015.
Before we start the exciting 2015, let us just share with you some overdue news
from 2014
At the beginning of September we had the privilege to be part of the Klawer Jubal
Festival. It started the Wednesday evening with a Biblical Passover meal. What
made it very special was that the different churches attended the meal and time of
fellowship. A first for Klawer. Thursday to Sunday evening we held a Passion Play,
using the different talents from the different Churches. It was awesome to be
working together, sharing the events of Passover through drama, dance and
singing.
A March for Jesus and a Prayer walk through the different parts of Klawer started
the Saturday events. What an experience to carry a physical cross for about 10km
through the streets of Klawer. A new awareness of the needs of the community
dawned on me (Johann). Not just the physical need, but the Spiritual need most of
all. The rest of the day was filled with food, music items and friends new ones
and old.
Since our arrival in Klawer, there was this certain premises in the senter of town
that caught our attention. We thought that it would be an ideal place for a church
and a ministry centre. Often on passing it, we would thank God in faith for our
building. Never told anyone about it Then, 9 months after we arrived in Klawer, a
friend approached us and told Johann that he saw this building for sale in town
which he thinks is exactly what our Ministry needs and Johann must make an
appointment to go and see it. It was exactly the same premises! Two days later, we
signed the offer to perches!! What a mighty God we serve! The premises and two
buildings exceed our expectation by far and the possibilities are endless! The
smaller building will serve as FCCI (Family Christian Church International)
Matzikama and the Bible School and the bigger one will be HOPE Centre Klawer
where we will be doing various communities up liftment projects. On Fridays and
Saturdays we will host Klawer Hope Craft and Flea Market. Giving individuals the

On the 1st of February 2015 we will take occupation. To get the Church and Centre
ready will be a Community project and we have had quite a few excited people offering
help with cleaning, painting etc.! This makes it all even more special. People stop you
in shops and ask how they can get involve, what do we need, how can they help!
WOW if you are in the will of God, He provides! As we are starting from scratch, any
donations are welcome. We have a Sponsor a Chair project where one can donate by
buying a Chair. See attachment. Please keep on praying for this project.
The Saturday after the papers were signed, a local farmer approached Johann about an
English church for his Zimbabwean workers. That very next Sunday we started with a
service on the farm and ever since we meet weekly and new believers are joining every
time. Jesus is building His Church and we are part of it. The farmer already provided
them with a vehicle to attend Church and Bible School the moment we move into our
new building.
Looking back on 2014, we are very grateful to God whom opened so many doors for us
and gave us favour with the community of Matzikama. We know that it was the right
decision to come to Klawer. Though we had a rough couple of months behind us, we
rejoice in Gods provision and protection. For Jean-Mari it was also the best move, she
flourished here and her good school marks are proof of it. She is also very positive and
excited about the HOPE Centre and even has a few brilliant ideas. One being a study
group for children who needs extra help with their school work.
We were blessed with a few days in Strandfontein, in a beautiful house right opposite
the beach. This was a welcome break just before Johann stood in for a local Pastor
from Monday 22 December to Saturday 10 January.

Thank you to all our family and friends who had visit us during 2014, we
are looking forward to welcome more of you in Klawer and our home in
2015.
