Account for = Give reasons, usually 3 for something

Analyse = separate the issue into clear parts, trace
relationships or connections between each part
Effect = result of actvity
Discuss = pick out 3 or 4 issues / points and
examine each in detail
Explain = look at how and why
Identify = choose or pick out the main idea or
reason for something
Factor = an issue, a reason ,an aspect

General tips

Think in terms of SRPs

A 30 mark question requires 15 SRPS
Specific facts or examples( local, national or
international examples)
Use geographical terms throughout your answer
Link physical, human and economic processes
Read OS map AND INTERPRET it
Be able to draw Sketch maps
Recognise SAT images, photos, charts and graph
