Title: The Nature Table

Materials: A light colored table near a window or a door. Items should include plants, flowers, fruits,
animals, shell, etc. (It can be anything).All items must be labeled and a magnifying glass to observe and
examine specific small objects or surfaces.

Presentation:
1. Use a group lesson to introduce various items on the nature table.
2. Talk about each item, keeping it simple and interesting.
3. Teachers may like to adopt as a question and answer session.

Where is it found?
What color is it?
4. By Using magnifying glass show the children how to told the objects and examine it.
5. When the children have finished observing the materials, show them how to put the materials back
in order so that it is presentable for the other children.

Age: 3+

Aim:
1. To develop an interest and awareness of nature in children.
2. To train them to observe their environment
3. To develop their Vocabulary
Note : Only a few items should be displayed at a time on the nature table. The
items should be changed and cleaned regularly once in two weeks to maintain
childrens interest. Children are encouraged to bring the objects of their own.
