Further Excavation at Aziz Dheri: (Campaign 2013)

Abstract
The recent excavation project at the well-known Buddhist site of Aziz
Dheri, District Swabi Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan was undertaken
under the directives of the Director Archaeology and Museums,
Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in order to expose some new
structural and architectural remains and to collect fresh cultural
material and artifacts for the Hund Museum, Swabi. The excavation
was started in January and continued till the month of April 2013. The
present paper thus treats with a preliminary report of the fresh
archaeological activities at the site in which some important
discoveries have been made along with the exposure of a complete
votive Stupa embellished with architectural and sculptural decoration.
