Lawyers are considered as Jacks of all traits, mainly due to the fact that they

interpret laws. Lawyers interpret the law through actions and words for the
protection of an individual, a business concern or an idea. They must be widely
versed in a great many areas of the law, economics, history, human motivation and
behavior, and the practicalities of day to day living. In the famous case of Cayetano
v. Monsod, the practice of law is defined as such. By digging deep into the
arguments stated and how the Supreme Court decided this case, they have defined
it to adapt to the work and life of a modern day lawyer. Blending it to the ever
changing time and giving it a kaleidoscope like characteristics. Thus, making a
lawyer more versatile, more fluid and more adept. However, the concentration of a
lawyer on their main purpose in the society would be compromised. It is more
logical if we go with the traditional practice of law which is focused on litigation,
appearances in court, crafting pleadings and the like. This is a clash between
modern and olden times like the war of the Olympians and Titans. I would honestly
state that the traditional practice of law should be regarded as the true practice of
law. The essence of law is to restrict and the practice should be contained or
confined in the traditional way.
