ReflectionAboutScienceSafety:

Safetyinthelaboratoryisjustasimportanttothestudentsasthecontenttheywilllearn.
ItisimportantthatIleadbyexampleatalltimes,showingstudentsthatIvaluetheimportance
ofsafetyinthelabandmodelthatforthem.Itisalsoimportantthatbeforewestartany
laboratoryexperiments,studentssignacontractthatwillbepostedinthelabshowingthatthey
acknowledgeandacceptthesafetyrulesintheclassroom,asthisisawayformetoensure
theyareincontroloftheirsafetyatalltimes.Alsoitisimportantforme,asarespected
chemistryinstructor,toputasafetyplanintoplacethatincludesadetailedminiunitfor
students,beforethestartofthefirstdayofschool.BelowaredetailedstepsIwilltaketoensure
bothmyselfandmystudentsaresafewhenworkinginmylab.
