Criterion D. Evaluating
DEADLINE: 24 Feb (T) 12 midnight
Part I. Product Testing
A. Self-testing
1. Describe in a detailed paragraph how you tested your project before presenting the final version to your target
users/audience. Discuss how you checked and improved the technical/functional problems that you encountered.
(Minimum 100 words)
When i finished my editing i had two possible routes to go, aurasma in the school laptops and qr codes. My original plan involved a designated Ipad
from the library that would act as the anchor for all my videos. I would transfer all of my videos onto the ipad and use tha aurasma app to set up the
guide. The problem came when i was trying to move the videos onto the ipad. When i tried it would not work so i had to go for plan B. I Made QR
codes that linked to the youtube videos. I believe this is better because now anybody can use their own device to trigger the videos, and more people
would be able to use them. Then i let a friend try out the whole process and he said that he thought it worked well. The only issue or barrier i can
come up with now is that not every one has mobile data on their phone, but that cannot be helped.

Evaluate your own project using the rubric below.

0: Not achieved
achieved

1-2 Minimally achieved 3-4: Moderately achieved

Aspects:

Self-Score

5-6: Mostly achieved

7-8: Fully

Reasons for Score Given

1. Does the project have a clear and

relevant purpose?

I stated my intentions from the beginning, to make a usefull library guide for any
body to use, and i believe i achieved that

2. Were digital tools used effectively for the

project?

My whole process included and still includes using the various tools to make it
and to continue using it

3. Were digital tools used creatively for the

project?

The core of what made my guide so special is the imediate avaliability of

aurasma, but i couldnt go that route

4. Is the project complex and challenging

enough to actually solve a real school
problem or situation?

I do believe that it is complex considering that it is not only one guide for the
library. This guide includes 5 diffrent videos that alllow me to go in depth for each
section of the library.

5. Does the project prototype actually

work?

The project works perfectly fine, i do not know how it could actually work better
than working, since it works on all devices.

6. Does the project have a specific target

audience or users?

My audience is not very specific but rather quite flexible, it is for anybody that
needs assistance

7. Was there an appropriate testing done for

the project?

There was appropriate testing done seeing as i found out faults in my first testing
and in the second testing i using a couple of trials

B. Evaluation by Target Users or Audience

1. Present and explain your project to 3 people from your target users or audience. Make them answer your evaluation
survey.
2. When you have gathered at least 3 feedbacks in your survey, post the link to the summary of results (the one with
graphs below.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1HQgWnfnGzVvT7xmjQO1as2LJld6AFQ3YfMTJpU7ja1o/edit#gid=2141837787

3. Compare the results of your evaluation survey to your self-evaluation. Complete the table below.
According to your self-evaluation

According to your survey results

a. How well did your final

product satisfy
your design
specification?

I think my final product did not fully follow my design

specification as i had to make some changes but still
turned out well

The survey shows that even though my final product

wasnt an exact replica of my design specification i was
still good

b. 3 Strong points of your

final product

The best points of my product was that i was able to

make many videos so there is more detailed guides, the
audio and video were of good quality, and the stratigic
placement of my codes

The results did show almost the exact same results. I

got a 7-8 for the quality of the video and audio, the
placement also got a 7-8, and the only thing that wasnt
exactly the same as what I said < but silll close> was
that i got a 7-8 for clear and dircet

c. 3 Weak points of your

final product

the weak points were that my videos lacked a pizzaz

element to the product, the que keys, and lacking a little
bit in the Fun department

the fun and entertaining design specification, that the

qr codes do not stand out enough for people to take
time and notice them, a couple videos did not abide by
the time limit set

d. 3 Suggestions for
Improvement

Perhaps add an element of excitement for a fun factor,

find a digital tool or use photo editing tools to make better
qr codes, try and fit all videos within the time limit i set or
shorten it

i only received one comment on the suggestions for

improvements box, which was to make it more fun or
entartaining

Part II. Success of the Final Product

1. Did you strictly and thoroughly follow your original plan and design? If not, describe the changes that you made to the
final product, and give reasons why you made these changes.
Changes made to the original design and plan:
1.

I used QR codes instead of Aurasma

Reasons for these changes:

File transfer issues prevented me from using Aurasma

2. Made a few videos shorter than specified

overestimated how much material there would be to work with in certain

areas

3. The QR codes were not colored

there was not the available resources or permission to print all of the
papers in colors

4.
5.

2. Generally, how well do you think your final project successfully achieved its original goal or purpose: to create a digital
codes -based project that can address a specific school problem or situation.Discuss 3 reasons.
I think my project was set out with a good goal of helping people and it turned out pretty well. It was able to yield a good result with my peer
evaluators which proved that it does in fact achieve the goal it was set out to do. Especially how the clarity and helpfulness got mostly 7-8 ratings. I
also think it solves the problem since it works and when tested by somebody who genuinely did not know the library (new student) they said it
informed them a lot about how to use it and what is available. Since i believe in my own craftsmanship and i know that it works i do believe that it i
solving the problem that was left behind by lacking information on the libraries many facilities.

3. Discuss the impact of your final product.

Discuss at least 3 benefits that your target audience can
get from your project.

Discuss at least 3 limitations or disadvantages of using

your game?

Mobile Use allows the audience to experience it at any time they want
The specific videos to each section lets them choose what information
they want to learn.
The clear but rich video formats allow the viewer to be fully enlightened
and remain intrigued. This allows for a pleasurable experience that can
still have a educational value to it.

Some network connection is needed in order to view the guide. Slightly

limits the percentage of people who will be able to view it from their
phones.
My chosen format isn't able to directly include a question and answer
system base in order to make sure all queries are answered.
The que sheets aren't as intriguing as hoped which means less people
may actually take time to view them.
