Joint Statement:

This assignment requires our group to produce a 45 minute teaching and learning resource that
spans over four lessons, links directly to the Australian Curriculum and has a strong emphasis on
the integration of ICT. The lesson activities aim to provide students with the opportunity to
problem solve and be creative through inquiry based tasks. Our group must present one of the four
lessons to a year 1 class at Fremantle Primary School, on the human body parts. The lesson consists
of six rotational activities based on this chosen topic in which our group controls three. Our lesson
involves three activities in which two of these have to be ICT integrated (use of iPads and
interactive whiteboard), and the third activity is human body part bingo.
Part1: Planning
Part one of the assignment includes:
- Creation of a mind map using spider scribe to highlight our project plan (who will complete each
part of the task and when will it be completed by)
- A statement on how ICT will be integrated and used to enhance student achievement.
- A statement which outlines how the constructivist learning theory underpins our forward planning
document
- A forward planning document spanning a four lesson sequence
Part 2: Prototyping
Part two of the assignment includes:
- A brainstorm which focuses on how ICT is integrated into the lesson for a specific learning area
and year level
- A lesson plan (which is presented to the year 1s at Fremantle Primary School) which is published
to our Weebly teachers page
- Make sure all the ICT is prepared and working for the lesson
Part 3: Publishing
Part three of the assignment includes:
- Creation of an introduction page to show the intended learning sequence and to engage students.
- Four task pages that provide all the necessary information and links to resources for each lesson.
- A resource page.
- An evaluation page, including a rubric, to show how students will be assessed.
-A conclusion and reflection page for students to think about what they have learnt.
- Submission of the published Weebly website

As a result of this assignment we hope to create an effective, interactive and hands on learning
experience for the year 1 students. We hope it engages students and they have a clear understanding
in learning about the human body parts and the five senses, through the use of the Weebly website
and ICT tools.
