Planning and setting goals played a significant role in the BlueWater project. The main goal of the
Lend Lease team was to create a project that had never been done beforesomething innovative
and isnt conventional. Through thorough goal-setting, the team organized the flow of the project.
They worked around the goals and objectives of the project, using them as guide as they aimed to
satisfy and fulfill each one, until the project was deemed successful.
2. How does Lend Lease illustrate effective planning?
Before the implementation and duration of the project, the Lend Lease team set goals for
BlueWater. The team defined its goal and fulfilled their objectives about the project, which was to
establish something new. The team also made use of Project Control groups, where managers
were assigned to oversee the entire teams progress on the project. The groups held meetings to
talk about financial reviews and progress reports to give efficient service in the project.

The approach that the Lend Lease team followed was formal planning. They set specific dates for
meetings and met all demands set by their main objective.
