Description of Lesson: Using previous knowledge gained from the previous

color theory lesson, students will use magazine clippings to create three different
examples of a color scheme.

Magazines
Scissors
Pencil
White poster paper
Ruler
Glue (rubber cement)

Prerequisites (Prior Knowledge):

Social: Students should be able to work quietly, avoiding distracting other


classmates. Students should be able to share materials without having issues.
Cognitive: Students should be able to apply prior knowledge to develop three color
scheme concepts to glue together.
Physical: Students should be able to use all materials properly and safely. Students
should be able to keep up with the rest of the class and stay on topic.
Emotional: Students should be able to work separately on their own work without
copying or getting offended by others.

Procedures:
Students will begin by looking through magazines and clipping color fields

corresponding with the primary, secondary and tertiary colors.


Students will use their clippings to create three color schemes and glue
them into a frame created by using the ruler, pencil and white poster paper.
The picture plane should be square.
These will be done side by side to be displayed.
Accommodations:

To accommodate for students who may have a harder time focusing or


concentration, I will be sure to check on them throughout the lesson. By walking by
their desk and looking at their work, I will be able to see if they are keeping up and
following along. For students who may work quicker than the rest, I will be sure to
keep an eye on them and make sure they are doing their work correctly.
