Values and Satisfaction

People have different perspectives on what is the real definition
of true satisfaction and of course, we all have our own ways of judging
the level of satisfaction that we have. It is proven that the more the
person is satisfied, the happier he or she is. That is why there are a lot
of people who are willing to do anything in order to satisfy themselves.
However, there are also people who are already satisfied with just what
they have.
In my case, I am usually already satisfied with the things that
God has given me and I try my best to accept and appreciate
everything that I have without asking for more. Although sometimes,
because of the nature of us human beings, I sometimes tend to do
things that are beyond my capacity just to get what I want, but I make
sure that what I am doing is reasonable, worth it, and does not have
any conflicts with other peoples rights. I would not throw away all the
values that I have learned from growing up just to get what will make
me more satisfied. Being contented, responsible, humble, caring, and
most especially God fearing are one of the values that I would fight for
when it comes to battling with temptations.
Overall, for me, being satisfied can be and mean a lot of things.
It has the capacity to either bring you up or bring you down generally
as a person. It could also be the reason for making you do good things
or do bad things thats why you should never forget about the values
that you have just to get the feeling of satisfaction.
