Cosnmitess, Ihave noticed seversl queiies thet would make him on execllont and effoctive adminictrato.
First of al, Mr, Talicska is an energetic and innovative teacher. | have witnessed firsthand his passion for
teaching and for motivating and encouraging his students, He does not shy away from new teaching
techniques or technology use. In fact, he embraces and gels excited about changes that wil help his students,
suc08ed. Like al teachers, he has faced harrowing obstacies, but he has time and fime again faced those
hurcles with positity and a creative problem solving atitude, aways doing what he thinks is best for kids. In
‘an administrator postion, | am confident that he would carry over his enthusiasm and charismatic motivation to
inspite teachers, suppor staff, students, and parents. Further, having worked with such an array of ages, he
has a vast knowiedge of the demands of each grade level - both forthe students and the teachers.
‘Secondly, Mr, Taicska is mindful of student achievement and uses data to help inform his instruction. He uses
State lol, and formative assessments to see where his overall successes and struggles are as well as
pinpoint what studants need an extra challenge or futhar support. He respects individually and differences
land understands the need for differentiation, He is also very adept al using technology to organize and keep
‘rack of dala, which would be a necessary sk when overseeing classroom progress or that of a large system.
‘Addiionally, collaboration and positve envrnment are two ideals Mr. Talcska holds in high regard. He seeks
cut professional callaboration not only between his grade level team, bul also across grades, with students,
and with famibes. When we bath taught 2nd grade, Mr, Talicska heloed nurture weekly grade level PLCs that
Stil confinue to this day, Me. Taleska has worked on a number of committees here at Garner that have helped
to improve our students and choo! culture. Most notably, he has helped to design, implement, and sustain our
'Muit-Tlered System of Support program. He also runs our 3rd and 4th grade student council group - proving
students a chance fo lead an impact not only what goes on inside our school, but to help others in our
Community. He works hand in hand with our Booster organization to improve our school facilities (playground
‘and auclo visual equipment specticaly) and student actviies. He has also founded our Garner Family Fun
Nights - ree activites held perodicaly throughout the year to foster postive family-schoo! relationships. He
has also put together grade level ila tips and school fundraisers. Moreover, he has helped run staff
meetings 2s well as presented to school Boards and the larger Clio community at our annual coloquiums, He
‘communicates clearly and kstens actively.
Further, Mr, Talicska has oftentimes stepped in as our principal when our aw administrator has been
unavailable, [have grealy appreciated tho way that Mr. Talika has handled behavior issues with
‘consistency, follow-through, and respect for student digrity. The support he has shown to other staff members
through encouragement, praise, oF help witha problem, is nt only a simple act of kindness, but something th
any administrator must be comfortable doing with sincerity
In conclusion, | would be fortunate to workin a school with Mr. Talika as an administrator. hope that you
‘wil seviously consider him for an administrative pesition in your district. Please do not hesitate to contact me i
an provide any more insight into Mr. Talicska's quali
