Construction tradesperson involve an experienced worker, working on thing from houses to
skyscrapers. Construction workers Would work on house or skyscrapers that need to be finish
ether for someone or a company. They work long hours, most of the time not a home.

Indoors/outdoors? Clothing required? Etc):
Construction workers as anyone in an occupation that involves possible head strikes, heatstroke,
frostbite, other weather elements, or hazardous contaminants should always wear protective
hard hats, giving birth to the descriptive term "hard hat worker". Workers work through rough
weather and dangers places. They work long hours to get what they need done. Hours can vary
between 10-14 hours a day. Some workers even have to leave home to work in other places of
the world making it very hard for them and their family.

Salary (what wage can you expect to earn?):


Higher positions like a superintendent, foreperson, contractors and subcontractors can make 50$
and more an hour. This means that an experienced worker makes around $44 000- $67 000 a
year and a higher level can make over
$100 000 a year.

What are 3 related occupations you could take if this one didnt work out for you (what would you
do if you dont end up doing this career and why?): Business Administration, because I have
always loved business programs and I could run my own construction company.
Carpentry would be another choice since I would like to work on projects and I have some
experience.
Welding I have family and friends that can help as some of them have a family business up North
and I can get a job starting when I would like.

And most importantly


Why are you interested in this career? (How long have you been interested in it? What led you
to wanting this job? How does it suit/fit your personality, interests, characteristics, strengths,
etc?): I'm interested in this career because I have been doing it for a couple of years I can join
the work force and start making money. My boss is the owner of the company and as he is a
family friend I can work my way up.
