lessoncontentandrelatedtoit.Theywereallanxioustodiscussthetechnologyusedintheirhomes
(televisions,tablets,gamesystems,iPads,iPods,phones,etc.).Ireallydidnotcoverhowtechnologyisnot
limitedtoelectronicsIwouldcoverthatnexttime.Wedidtalkabouttechnologybeinganythingthat
improvesourlivesandhelpsus.Ithinkanothertimeitwouldbemotivatingtoaddanartcomponentand
havematerialsavailable(cardboard,aluminumfoil,coloredpaper)tomakeexamplesoftechnologytoglue
onpaper.Studentscouldalsomake3Dexampleswithmaterials,thenwriteasmallreportonwhat
technologyitisandhowitimproveslives.

Strengths:useoftechnology(severalapplicationsandexamples),connectionstocontent,reviewof
previousunitlessonsforpriorknowledgeactivation,timelimitations(usingtimer),andmanyoral
opportunities.
