The alterations made to

library night increased
parent involvement, which
increases parent
participation in their
childrens reading lives.
Library night will continue
next year. Each month
will feature a new teacher
or administrator reading
the book of the month.
We will also enter
students in a drawing to
win a book of the month.

Name of Project: STAAR Pep Rally

Area of Concern

Needs Assessment

The students need to be

supported in all aspects of
their educational journey.

State testing can be an

extremely stressful for our
students. A STAAR pep
rally excites the students
and minimizes the tension
surrounded by test states.
Teachers, administrators,
and staff have this time to
come together and show
students we believe in
them and their abilities to
be successful.

Projects Action Plan

Evaluation

January 2015
Met with Greenes
principal to discuss the
date and benefits of a
STAAR pep rally for our
students.

The students felt support

not only from Greene
teachers and staff but
from the PALS whom
admire and attempt to
emulate.

February 2015
Greene partners with
Clear Brook High School,
which is a feeder school
for Greene. Clear Brook
PALS support our students
throughout each school
year.
I contacted the PAL
coordinator to invite them
to participate in our
STAAR pep rally.
March 2015
I worked with the PAL
coordinator to create a
plan for the pep rally.
I worked with Greenes PE
department to coordinate
the usage of the gym for
the pep rally.
