I am a very open minded person because I never let my own stubborn tendencies
cloud new information which I may decide to hold valid later. I would rate myself a 10
because frankly I would not rule out anything information wise to enter my brain I would
only choose whether or not to believe it or follow it. I always keep an open mind so that
I can absorb as much new culture and information as possible. When I find credible
evidence that contradicts my beliefs I take it into account but depending on what the
subject is would decide if I would completely change my view. I research anything
before I make my mind up about it, so if I found information that completely contradicted
it I would have to reevaluate my sources but most of the time I have enough evidence to
support my opinions. It is possible that I would question my own conclusions I have
made throughout a subject just by personal opinion but if the evidence has been
researched from credible sources I would not have the right to disagree based on my
personal feelings. Proof is proof and if a credible source gives me truthful information I
usually believe it. I would not change conclusions based on a hunch if the sources say
otherwise.
Global climate change, for example, is a very controversial subject right now and I do
not know a books worth of knowledge on the subject however I know enough to debate
my points and win most arguments. I know that fossil fuels and pollution can harm the
environment and the can affect the ozone layer, however these changes are so minute

that resisting the way of life we already live would not make a difference because
pollution will come one way or another. The ozone fluctuates as a wave and some
areas are thinner than others, that is what scientists would consider proof of depletion
but in reality it is only natural. I think global warming predictions are false I think the
climate may change over time but not due to humans but just due to the plan of the
universe.
After viewing the Fox News report on climate change I have gathered that
republicans can see the flaws in the climate change reports because they see that the
democrats are going back and worth on their claims. First the democrats say that the
world is heating up and causing ice to melt rapidly, but now they are claiming that cold
winters and extreme cold is all part of the climate change of global warming as if it were
consistent. This seems like they do not know what they are talking about and this
confirms my beliefs further that global warming is overplayed. I agree that global
warming might be occurring but it is not by man and certainly should not be addressed
as strongly as it is now. I disagree that global warming would cause extreme cold as
well because that goes against their previous statements that is just called the weather.
The video was informative but only agreed with my beliefs that I had in the first place.
After watching the national geographic video it supports humans as a cause of global
warming which I still disagree. The video gave facts but did not show hard evidence
that humans among other things are the root cause for such dramatic changes. The

video was informative to an extent but still left questions unanswered. As I stated
previously global warming may be occurring but it is not caused solely by man.
The NPR news cast on global climate change is very liberal and agrees with the
national geographic video but it still does not seem plausible that humans can affect the
vast atmosphere when most of the earth is covered by water. Humans simply do not
have a large enough presence to be causing storms by coal and oil in fuel. I still believe
in my original belief because I have yet to see concrete proof that global warming is due
to man.
