Chetna Mahajan is a visionary IT executive with an 18-year history of building lean technical programs and steering multimilliondollar projects on a global scale. She is expert in developing business/enterprise applications for Fortune 500 companies and
government offices, and has proven experience in global enterprise applications, operational management, innovation,
improvement planning and technology strategy enablement.
As the Director of Enterprise Applications at the Colorado Governors Office of Information Technology, Chetna has transformed the
organization into a proactive service provider and trusted partner of state agencies. While leading a team of 400+ and managing a
$200 million P&L, she significantly improved efficiencies, customer satisfaction scores, and employee engagement by automating
processes, defining best practices, improving service offerings, and revamping pricing strategies. She has been successful as a
champion of change in the adoption and execution of high-velocity, flexible development methodologies that leverage agile
approaches and foster close collaboration with business partners.
Prior to that, Chetna spent nine years as the Senior Global Program Manager, guiding the digital transformation of the Enterprise
PMO at Boeings Digital Aviation Division. With forward-thinking technology leadership, she drove market share growth, ecommerce sales, and business profitability by shifting focus to a new client base, implementing lean processes, spearheading major
system enhancements, and improving data integrity. She expertly managed multi-faceted global programs and built an offshore
development center. Chetna has extensive experience with M&A transactions, having played an instrumental role in five major deals
such as Jeppesen and CDG. She set long-range strategies, established technology standards, and drove innovation in IT operations
to improve cloud strategy and ERP solutions, which helps with extensible and open platforms for the rapidly expanding M&A
roadmap.
Chetna has even served as a Technical Project Manager at Sun Microsystems Inc., where she oversaw SDLC, Sarbanes-Oxley controls,
and Six Sigma processes for all projects. While there, she deftly managed the full product lifecycle for mission-critical initiatives and ecommerce system releases.
Much of Chetnas success is due to her remarkable ability to foresee trends and capitalize on emerging technologies. She repeatedly
finds the best technology solutions and institutes lean development methods in order to turn around struggling organizations. As a
champion of change, she has a natural ability to motivate global, cross-functional teams to drive extraordinary business
transformations.
Her passion and initiative has garnered many awards, leading her to receive multiple Spirit of Excellence Awards for Delivering
Results and the Pride Award from Boeing. She also won the Star Award for Best Performing Team at Sun Microsystems.
Chetna has an MBA from the University of Colorado, an MS in Computer Science Engineering from Arizona State University, an ITIL
certification, and the PMP designation from Project Management Institute (PMI).
When Chetna is not revitalizing enterprises with lean technical programs and world-class business solutions, she can be seen
enjoying quality time with her husband Amandeep and their two young, athletic sons. Her family enjoys traveling internationally to
explore different countries and learn about various cultures.
Chetna believes in making all solutions and processes as efficient, organized, and client-focused as possible. By maintaining the
highest standards in quality, productivity, and communication, she consistently exceeds client expectations.
