LAB RULES AND PROCEDURES

KHS RULES-ALL RULES OF THE STUDENT HANDBOOK WILL BE FOLLOWED
INCLUDING NO HATS/JACKETS/BAGS IN CLASS.
BE ON TIME, PREPARED, AND REMAIN ON TASK!
At the bell, you should be in the room with all necessary materials and ready to learn.
Failure to do this will result in a tardy. (Note: three tardies result in Saturday
school/more than five minutes is a Late Arrival/A).
Students MUST come to class before seeing the nurse, office, restroom, etc.
There is NO changing of seats without teacher permission!
When leaving, log out, put any books and materials away, push in chair and clean up any
stray materials you may have collected during the hour.
NEVER remove any materials from the lab! Permission must be given by the instructor, and
you must properly sign out materials.
Locker and Restroom passes will be used only when necessary! You may not leave the
classroom at any time without your agenda book. (NOTE: One pass per marking period!)
Dont forget to save your work every few minutes while in computer class!
Make up tests will be given with excused absences only. YOU are required to make
arrangements with the instructor. Get them made up as soon as possible!
DO NOT DISRUPT THE CLASS. WASTING TIME WILL NOT BE TOLLERATED!
Talking, passing notes, being off task is very disruptive and disrespectful. You must NOT
interfere with a classmates right to learn or the teachers right to teach.
Please do not interrupt the teacher when she is working with another student. Raise your
hand and wait for her to finish.
STUDENTS WILL BE RESPECTFUL TO EQUIPMENT AND PEOPLE-Be polite and
respect individual differences. NO put-downs, threats, or foul language. Respect the
privacy, property, and responsibilities of others: Keep hands, objects, etc. to yourself. Do
not touch other peoples property-this includes the instructors! Saturday school will be
given with the FIRST INFRACTION of this rule.
CHEATING-INCLUDING THE SHARING OF COMPUTER DOCUMENTS!

Students will be responsible for submitting their own work! Any cheating results in an
automatic zero for that project, quiz, or test for both offenders. Using someone elses
storage device or being logged in as another user constitutes cheating therefore NEVER
log in under another name or borrow a storage device from someone to save your
assignments. Never tell another student your password, you may be blamed for cheating
and/or inappropriate internet use.
DISMISSAL FROM CLASS RESULTS IN A ZERO ON ALL ASSIGNMENTS, QUIZZES,
OR TEST FOR THAT DAY!
CLASS WORK AND MOODLE USEProjects and Assignments must be turned in appropriately using MOODLE. Journal entries
are done on occasion when assigned by the teacher.
MOODLE is our online resource for ALL class information. It should be used carefully and
wisely. Any inappropriate discussions, posts, or use will result in removal of student from
online environment. Since the online course is required for graduation this will mean
repeating of course for credit.
STUDENTS WILL USE THE INTERNET FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLYThe Internet, e-mail, personal devices are to be used only during designated times by the
teacher. If ALL work is completed-handed in-The Internet, e-mail, or personal device may
be used with the teachers permission. Any misuse of these mentioned will be directed to
lawful authorities and prosecuted according to the law and/or the schools Internet use
policy. The Internet is a privilege and can be taken from students for their entire high
school career at KINGSFORD HIGH SCHOOL.
ALWAYS MAINTAIN A SAFE, ORDERLY AND CLEAN ENVIRONMENT!
CLASS DISMISSAL WILL BE BY YOUR INSTRUCTOR!
Students will remain seated at their computer until dismissed by the teacher. Do not
gather by the doors.
Failure to follow the above rules may result in detention, Saturday School and parent
contact.
